Arts Enrichment and Outreach Lead | Holden Village (Chelan, WA)

Holden Village is looking for a new Arts Enrichment and Outreach Lead. This is a two year, employee position. Holden offers free parking at the boat dock; round trip boat tickets for days out of the Village; health, dental, and eye insurance; ample days out of the Village per year; guest passes and half price guest passes; an HSA; retirement; and room and board; along with pay.

This position is posted as open in August, but being able to come in July would mean overlapping with the current Arts Enrichment and Outreach Lead, which would be beneficial to the new hire and the Village in general.

The Arts Enrichment and Outreach Lead supervises the Village Potter, Art Studio Coordinator, Village Artists, and Art Studio Assistants; oversees the Artist Residency program, Snowdance Film Festival and Arts in the Cascades; maintains and develops Village Art Inventory; runs the Art Gallery, hanging and labeling installations and coordinating the calendar; orders and maintains supplies for pottery, loom studio, and art studio; collaborates with the Executive Directors and Education and Program Team to generate ways to creatively organize programming and special events that foster relationships with the wider community and the arts; works with the Golden West Gallery in Stehekin and other local organizations to show Holden artwork outside the Village, and with the Fall Festival to offer support for the auction and apple orchard; teaches art sessions to staff and guests. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, possesses excellent organizational skills and has the ability to work well independently, as well as in a collaborative setting. Excellent written communication and oral presentation skills are necessary components of this job. The ability and desire to think creatively is a must, and a background in the visual arts is preferred. Art educators, museum educators, and arts administrators are all a good fit for this position.

The website does not have the correct description up as of 3/28, but that is being remedied! The above description is the correct one.
