Assistant for Promotions & Events Marketing | Appalachian Center for Craft (Smithville, TN)

QUALIFICATIONS:  Required:   High school diploma or equivalent. Three years of related experience. Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and able to work without supervision. Experience shooting still photography. Experience shooting and editing video and sound for online marketing, social media platforms, and email blast newsletters (Constant Contact), as well as for printed posters, postcards, flyers, and specialty graphics collateral pieces. Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and video editing software.  Preferred:  Associate's degree in art, design, visual communication or equivalent. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Maintain and facilitate production and distribution of digital, print, and video materials including: brochures, rack cards, content for and updates of website, digital signage, and social media. Assist in production of annual special events, fundraisers and outreach programming. Produce, print and distribute annual exhibitions calendar. Organize, facilitate and participate in promotional visits, tours and travel. Maintain archives of newspaper and journal articles and digital and video media. Update and maintain mailing lists. 

SALARY & BENEFITS:  Commensurate with education and experience; Clerical & Support Skill Level 6. Benefits include the initial accumulation of one vacation day per month and one sick leave day per month, and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits.
