Scholarships
Underwriting is available for people of color who are administrators within nonprofit arts organizations, particularly those that work directly with individual artists (of any discipline). The Alliance is committed to supporting diverse leaders and recognizes the importance of group learning among individuals of different cultural backgrounds. Thanks to the generous support of The Ford Foundation, registration fees will be waived for accepted applicants (see guidelines below). If you have questions about eligibility, please contact Caitlin Strokosch.

Underwriting is also available for administrators of creative residency programs in dance/choreography, thanks to the generous support of The Andrew Mellon Foundation. Registration fees will be waived for accepted applicants (see guidelines below). The Alliance is committed to furthering the capacity of the dance field, by supporting dance/choreography residency programs. Scholarships are available to administrators of residency programs that primarily serve dance, or that have as a primary focus residencies for performance-based artists, including dance. Administrators who have participated in more than one past Alliance conference or Institute are not eligible. If you have further questions about eligibility, please contact Caitlin Strokosch.

Scholarship Guidelines: Scholarship applications are requested by March 31. To apply, please select "Scholarship Applicant" on the registration form. Scholarship applicants will not need to pay for registration fees upfront. Applicants will be notified of scholarship awards April 1. The Institute gave me a gift beyond measure: my fellow participants... I can rely on them for thoughtful, deliberate insights, suggestions and ideas drawn from and informed by their own triumphs and struggles as leaders in the arts.
