Cultural progress depends on new ways of thinking about and reflecting on the world. The Alliance of Artists Communities believes, by providing artists with time, space and community, that artists’ communities and residencies actively contribute to the continuing development of culture.
The Alliance includes more than 250 members, which collectively serve more than 12,000 artists each year. In support of this work, only the Alliance is in a position to connect artists’ communities to their peers across the country, to advocate for increased funding for residency programs, and to provide comprehensive data, trends and best practices on the field.
