SURVEY | PAʻI Foundation Launches New Native Artist Residency

PAʻI Foundation is developing a new Artist-in-Residence (AIR) program -Native Artist Residencies– designed to serve Native Hawaiian, Native American and Alaska Native artists, as well as other indigenous artists, through residencies in Hawaiʻi and the facilitation of Native artist residencies with other artist communities.

Through a partnership with Artspace to build the Ola Ka ‘Ilima Artspace Lofts affordable artist housing project in Honolulu, PAʻI will open a new Native Hawaiian Cultural Center in 2019, including a visual arts gallery, two dance studios, office space and a 650 square foot 1-BR artist studio residency unit.

In order to best serve the needs of our artists-in-residence, we are conducting a survey of Native artists and arts organizations with programs interested or experienced in hosting them.

Please consider taking a few moments to complete our online survey. It should take you less than 15 minutes.

Your feedback will help PAʻI’s Native Artist Residencies program and other AIRs provide the best possible creative experiences for indigenous artists.

If you know an artist or artist community who should take this survey, please forward the link or this email to them!
