Vermont Studio Center | 60+ Month-Long Residency Fellowships

ALL artists and writers applying at the 2/15 fellowship deadline are automatically considered for one of 25 VSC Fellowships.

Vermont Studio Center (VSC) in Johnson, Vermont is currently accepting applications for over 60 month-long residencies scheduled between May 2018 – December 2018. The deadline for applications is February 15, 2018.

Twenty-five (25) VSC Fellowships are open to ALL artists and writers living and working anywhere in the world. All applicants will be automatically considered for one of these twenty-five unrestricted awards. All artists and writers applying at the 2/15/2018 Fellowship deadline are automatically considered for one of 25 VSC Fellowships.

Every VSC residency includes:
--private room
--private studio space
--all meals.

We also have a number of special awards (many with stipends), including residency fellowships for artists working in clay, fiber, glass, metal, and wood; socially-engaged teaching artists; Native American visual artists; 2D woman artists; and artists and writers with demonstrable financial need and more! In addition to these special awards, many generous merit-based grants are available.

The Vermont Studio Center is a vibrant, diverse community of artists situated in Vermont's northern Green Mountains. Each month we welcome more than 50 writers and visual artists from across the country and around the globe to our historic campus along the Gihon River in the town of Johnson, Vermont.

Residencies range from 2 to 12 weeks and offer residents unrestricted time for creative work, along with daily opportunities to engage with fellow artists. Our monthly program includes slide nights, readings, open studios, gallery openings, and optional studio visits and conferences with our Visiting Artists and Writers.
