Zoom Online Meet-Up | Tech Talk: Slack

Join AAC and your residency colleagues for a series of online meet-ups on the Zoom video conferencing platform. Launched in 2017, these informal meet-ups cover a range of residency-specific topics and offer members a chance to connect, share ideas and troubleshoot challenges. We're excited to launch our 2019 Zoom schedule with a Tech Talk - the sixth in an ongoing series examining tech platforms and data management practices within the residency field.

Tech Talk - Simplifying with Slack

Thursday, January 24th, 2019

2pm-3pm EST

Are important communications around residency dates and scheduling getting lost and forgotten in mile-long email chains? Are you having a hard time triaging daily/weekly/monthly tasks and to-dos? Do you need a better way to communicate with colleagues, view contracts, or keep up with press around artists or programs? Then Slack might be worth a try! During this session we will discuss Slack – a team collaboration tool that can simplify complicated logistics residencies contend with. We will discuss what Slack does, special features that are most relevant to residencies and how it might support your organization.

Online meet-ups are designed not only to present helpful information, but to initiate conversations among members. We hope participants will find peers who are succeeding or struggling with similar issues, and continue the conversation after the session. Presentation by Michael Bettis (AIR Serenbe) and Brad Kik (Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology). Moderated by Tony Grant (Sustainable Arts Foundation).

Open to all staff of AAC member programs. Sign up by submitting this form.
