Dhillon-Sahib Punjab Artist Residency

Dhillon Sahib Punjab Artist Residency (D-SPAR) is established to enrich and promote contemporary Punjab by creating intellectual and professional exchange internationally through contemporary art. An artist will spend one month in Tokyo, Japan. We offer, at no cost, living and studio accommodations, and all the meals. We also offer an economy class return ticket from Delhi to Tokyo. Local transportation via metro for the two months of Tokyo stay will be covered by the program. Some funding for materials and supplies might be offered on case by case bases. The artist will donate two works of art to the Foundation, one to be showcased in Japan, and the second to be showcased in Punjab. Program courtesy will include a Japanese cultural tour designed by the program during artist's stay in Tokyo. Any additional at-home expenses will be artist's responsibility.

An artist in the field of visual and/or media art, over 30 years of age from one of the four regions or countries: California, USA; Greater Punjab (see description of Punjab, Land of Five Rivers under D-SPAR) for D-SPAR; Japan and France are eligible to apply.
