Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography (MANCC)

The Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography (MANCC) is a dance and choreographic research center affiliated with the School of Dance at The Florida State University. Choreographers and companies are brought into the center for two to four week research based choreographic residencies to experiment, reflect, edit, and hone their research and choreographic process and ultimately develop new work.

Facilities & Services

    Artist works with MANCC staff to secure housing.
  • Meals: No meals/food provided
  • Accessibility: housing/grounds/studios are accessible
    Studios and public areas are wheelchair accessible.

  • Additional studio information: 
    A 45' x 50' studio with sprung floors and 64' x 59' Black Box are available for 24 hour access. Additional resources including Audio Lab, Media Lab, Conditioning Studio, Office and additional technical and production resources may be available with advance planning.

Stipends / other support

Artists receive a budget allocation and work with MANCC staff to determine size and scope of the residency.
