Taiwan Art Space Alliance (TASA)

Taiwan Art Space Alliance (TASA) is an organization that aims to promote artist-in-residency programs, art administration education, international cultural exchange, cultural policy proposals as well as cultural resources management. Its core team members consist of artist village operators and senior managers of art spaces all over Taiwan

As a platform for the exchange and integration of art space and resources across Taiwan, we dedicate to seek alliance with various organizations and facilitated events to empower the connection of the macro-environment of the Taiwanese arts and culture scenes, welcoming new members to activate and develop the cooperation between art organizations worldwide. Finally, to expand the network and interactions of different institutions in the art industry

During the preparatory stage in 2015, the initiator Taipei Artist Village focused on the theme of "Art Village as a Method" and discussed with more than thirty artist villages issues related to artist-in-residency operation and arts and culture management in Taiwan; meanwhile, to host the first Annual Conference for the Artist Village Alliance of Taiwan with 6 keynote speeches and 2-day workshops. In July 2016, Taipei Artist Village held the second Annual Conference with theme “Art Action: Festival and Community revitalization”, as well as the inaugural meeting of TASA, formally submitted to the Ministry of the Interior to apply for the establishment as a national social organization. The same year in September Ministry of the Interior approved the establishment of TASA. Members of TASA include:
