The Arroscia Residency an artist run, 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation open to all emerging and mid-career artists who’s focus is on one or more of the following disciplines: painting, drawing, collage, fiber art, photography, murals, installations and/or mixed media work.

Arroscia Residency is only accepting artists not enrolled in an academic program. Eligibility of artists enrolled in PhD programs will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The artist is to produce a body of work with a minimum of 6-8 pieces (including sketches and finished pieces) which are to be exhibited in the Studio in Pieve di Teco. One piece chosen by the jury is to remain the property of the Residency and will form part of the permanent collection housed in the Residency Gallery. All remaining pieces remain the property of the artist and can be sold during the exhibit or taken back home with the artist. All proceeds from sales go directly to the artist, minus the Gallery commission (Refer to gallery representation below). Shipping costs to send artworks home are the responsibility of the artist. Should an exhibit or publication result with the work created during this residency, The Arroscia Residency is to be recognized in the acknowledgments.

Additionally, the artist is to conduct at least one of the public activities listed below:

  • Artist talks with guests invited to visit the studio by the residency sponsors, including: journalists, curators, artists, local officials, buyers, etc.;
  • Artist talks with local Italians;
  • Artist talk and project with local middle school; and/or
  • Installation work in local villages or towns.
