In 2017, Crosstown Arts will launch a multi-disciplinary artist residency program for local and visiting artists, musicians, performers, and writers at Crosstown Concourse, a redevelopment project of the historic 1-million square foot Sears Building in Memphis, TN.
Crosstown Arts is a non-profit contemporary arts organization currently operating a gallery, performance space, after-school program and flea market in the Crosstown neighborhood, across the street from the Concourse redevelopment project. The future artist residency program in the Concourse building will expand Crosstown Arts’ current Studio Residency program. The Studio Residency program offers a short-term project space to three local artists per year, for four-month sessions.
