In 1997, Nancy B. Negley purchased the former residence of Dora Maar. In a five-year effort, she rehabilitated and updated this spacious eighteenth-century, four-story stone residence in the village of Ménerbes.

SPACE on Ryder Farm’s Family Residency, founded in association with The Lilly Awards Foundation (spearheaded by Julia Jordan, Marsha Norman and Pia Scala-Zankel), provides a residency on the farm for working parents and their children.

One-week Art Residency Retreat stays. These retreats can accommodate up to 4 creatives during any one week period (a collaborative studio experience is possible).  Accommodations and family-style dinners Included.

In 2012 the Sam & Adele Golden Foundation for the Arts opened its doors to a one-of a-kind artist residency for artists working in paint.

The Working Farm, SPACE’s resident writers’ group, offers five playwrights, composers, lyricists and/or librettists a total of five (fully-subsidized) weeks on Ryder Farm during the course of the May-October season.

This is an ongoing programme open all year round for artists of all disciplines. The theme and focus of the programme is the emergence of the authentic self through creativity. The programme is self directed and self funded. 

One of the few things that was clear at the start of this pandemic was the fact that the format of the residencies as such, and the way we support artistic practices, needed to adapt and evolve.

Tsung-Yeh Arts and Cultural Center is located in the Madou district, on the northern outskirts of Tainan City. Madou is a tranquil and leisurely small town with a laid-back lifestyle, located approximately 50 minutes drive from downtown Tainan.

Tusen Takk’s residencies are geared for artists to explore new ideas or expand current work. We look for ideas and work that will affirm and enrich the human spirit, giving form to chaos and perception to beauty. 

Ucross is a vital and relevant resource for artists of all backgrounds and disciplines, who come from all over the United States and the world. The uninterrupted time and space offered is increasingly rare, and the connections built within the community are of great importance to artists.

Vashon Artist Residency provides a diverse group of artists the time and space to create, the opportunity to engage with other residents and the experience of living and working amidst the ecology and community of Vashon Island located on the beautiful Salish Sea in Washington State.

Vermont Studio Center (VSC) was founded by artists in 1984. We welcome writers and artists for residencies in Johnson, Vermont, and host online programs and events.
