Accessibility in the Artist Residency Field (2020)
This project was initiated to better understand accessibility challenges in the artist residency field, with the goal to offer recommendations to make our field more accessible. It includes a field scan, case studies, recommendations for artist residencies and other resources.
Social-Practice Residencies (2015)
An examination of how artist residencies can be a platform for engaging communities in meaningful and responsible ways, what artists need to succeed in community-engaged work, and how residency programs can best serve those needs.
Evaluating Impact (2014)
Case studies, frameworks and sample assessment tools that examine evaluation and assessment strategies at artist residency programs.
Organizational Sustainability (2013)
A survey of the capacity, challenges and successful practices of artist residency centers, featuring information and examples from 157 organizations on funding, personnel, governance, programming, property, environment, and priorities.
Artist Residencies in Dance (2011)
An examination of the landscape of artist residencies for dancemakers: How does the field of artist residencies currently support dance? How well are dancemakers aware of this support? What resources are needed for the field to better support dancemakers?
