Artist Communities Alliance (ACA) is an international association of artist residencies, a dynamic field of more than 1,500 organizations and programs that provide time, space, and resources for artists to advance their creative practices. As the only U.S.-based network for artist residencies, we are a hub for information and professional development  for the field.

We welcome requests for interviews and information on artist residencies, equitable practices and access in the arts.

Speaking Engagements

ACA is available to give presentations to audiences about topics relevant to the artist residency field and starting a residency program.

We have presented to foundations, arts councils, residency boards and universities in live and virtual settings. These presentations can include information about trends and benchmarking data within the artist residency field, guidance for artists considering participating in residencies, overviews of artist residency program typologies and more.

If you are interested in engaging with ACA in this way, please complete the following form. Note that we require a speakers fee and both ASL interpretation and captioning. We are only participating in virtual events at this time.

You can also engage with ACA via Field Conversations — public discussions, featuring a panel of thought leaders who address topical issues in the arts that may impact or promote a new way of thinking about artist support or the artist residency field.

Our Resource Library, which will launch in 2022, features resources for learning, action, assessment, adjustment, and reflection. Until then, visit the Research + Resources page.
