Founded in 2010, FotoCreativaBA is an international residency and training platform located in the heart of Buenos Aires, Argentina, inside the vibrant "Galería Patio del Liceo"—an artistic hub of designers, bookstores, and galleries. Open year-round, the residency welcomes visual artists, photographers, researchers, curators, and work groups (up to 5 people) seeking dedicated time and space to reflect, discuss, and create. Our mission is to promote cultural projects linked to contemporary photography and combined arts, fostering a lively transdisciplinary dialogue. The residency structure provides deep curatorial support, periodic project feedback, tailored studio visits to natural or historic heritage sites, gallery tours, and free access to all FotoCreativaBA activities and educational workshops. The program operates on a flexible, fee-based timeline ranging from 1 week to 3 months. It culminates in an open studio event, showcasing the resident's process and research to the local art community. While accommodation is not directly on-site, the staff provides close assistance and references for private housing options.
