Hewnoaks Artist Residency

Hewnoaks provides artists across all disciplines and career stages unencumbered time to think, work, and experiment. We offer short-term residencies on a wooded lakeside historic property, knowing that this kind of time and space is essential to the creative process and the growth and development of artists and their work.

Our seasonal programs and events include:

• Short-term artist residencies offered through an application & jury process
• Fee-based workshops in collaboration with a lead artist
• Opening Session – a new work exchange week to help de-winterize the property
• Retreats with Partnering Organizations or Institutions
• Partnership Residency with Indigo Arts Alliance serving black and brown artists
• Public events at Hewnoaks and in the community with partnering organizations
