WildHeart exists to Incubate New Performances.
We envision a world with more performances created as an expression of deep integrity, nourished by embodiment practice, while living close to the earth. WildHeart offers support to Artists and Ensembles to develop their work and engage with creative process by providing housing at below market price.
Artist Residencies include shared access to our dance studio, land access to the forest and private lake, an option for works-in-progress showing with audience feedback from our community, and to join WildHeart community gatherings such as shared meals, meditations, classes, song circles, moon ceremonies etc. We'd love to welcome you here!

Pricing:
Housing Sliding Scale: $50-125 per-person, per-night
Additional $20 per-person, per-day to opt into the communal food system
To increase financial accessibility, we also offer a $30-50 per-person, per-night sliding scale for folks who are willing to be in a shared room with other guests (of any gender) and help “turn over” their bed upon departure (wash sheets, remake bed, etc). There may be a possibility of changing rooms mid-stay if choosing this deducted rate for housing as well.

Accessibility
The artist tailors the residency to them, so experience can be very broad and inclusive.
The way down to the lake is grass and somewhat rocky. The paths through the forest are also the same.
Housing & Accomodation
Shared Spaces:
As an Artist in Residence (AIR), you are welcome to use the Barn and the Nest during your stay whenever they are not occupied by public programming or rentals. When we confirm your residency dates, we’ll let you know which times the Barn and Nest are in use. We do not reserve specific timeslots for AIR rehearsals, and it’s understood that these working spaces are communal and shared. If you’d like to reserve private working time in the Barn, we can provide information about our rental rates.
Our spaces are best suited for movement, theater, music, writing, film/photography, or personal retreat. If you work in a different medium and are interested in using our facilities, please reach out so we can help determine whether our spaces are a good fit.
For accommodations, we will provide you with the best available bedspot at the time of your stay. On your application you can indicate your preferences (such as a single room or shared room), and we’ll do our best to honor them, though we do not reserve specific rooms in advance.

- an overhead lighting grid
- rig points for aerial work
- Radiant heat sprung dance floor

The Nest (Studio/Kitchen)
Studio space / communal space >15’x30’ with:
- lovely piano, yoga/meditation props
- Industrial Kitchen (where our chef would prepare lunch+dinner, and where guests could come to the communal pantry for additional groceries to use in the private kitchens of the other houses.)
- Two bathrooms
- “Tea/snack station,” where communal meals are served up
- Central AC
