Seeker's Sabbatical
Townshend, VT, United States
“The Seeker’s Sabbatical” is an on-farm, artist-in-residence program for creatives, thinkers and justice seekers of all persuasions whose work is making a generous contribution to healing - personal or planetary. We’re living in a precious and precarious moment and the residency is designed to support those people with unique gifts who can awaken our hearts, widen our circles of care and compassion and give form to truths that will carry us through. (More about our philosophy on the power of art in this time can be read here: https://erikjacobs.substack.com/p/seekers-sabbatical-an-invitation)
There is much (and by design, little) on offer for the artists who reside with us: A simple, rustic yet well-appointed cabin, ample quiet and glorious sunrises. There will be opportunities to observe and contribute to the daily work of the farm. You are invited to participate in our monthly artist gathering - The Art of Us. But mostly the residency is designed to provide creatives time and space to follow their own intuitive sense of center, recharge their creative spirit and overflow into their work. Walking shoes, yoga mats, favorite authors, and journals are all are encouraged. A commitment to turning in and openness to encounter are required.
