Fuse is a residency for classical musicians who are excited to expand their artistic practice through collaborative play and interdisciplinary exploration. Supported by accomplished mentors and an environment that encourages experimentation and creative risk-taking, musicians are encouraged to create, research, and develop new approaches to their practice in Banff Centre’s unrivalled mountain environment.
This program is open to classically trained instrumentalists, including woodwind, brass, string, and percussion musicians, as well as singers and composers.
Learn, experiment and play alongside our an exceptional faculty of internationally recognized artists, including Aga Khan Master Musicians, Nadar, Architek Percussion, Jane Mitchell (Aurora Orchestra), Jessie Maryon Davies, and Krystina Marcoux, and Keir GoGwilt, Conor Hanick, Miranda Cuckson of American Modern Opera Company (AMOC).

Fuse is for classically trained musicians with a desire to collaborate, create and explore interdisciplinary techniques and processes that can expand their artistic practice.
Previous interdisciplinary experience is not required—only an openness to exploration and an excitement to explore new modes of expression.

Application Fee
$65 for individuals or $35 for applicants who identify as Indigenous.

- Banff Centre Arts Scholarship
Program participants receive a Banff Centre Arts Scholarship that covers the cost of tuition, plus a contribution towards accommodation and meals.
