The Arts Education for All Act (H.R. 2485), reintroduced by Rep. Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR) with bipartisan support, would expand access to arts learning nationwide by affirming the arts as part of a well-rounded education.

A new tool from the Center for American Progress (CAP) maps DOGE funding cuts by congressional district, city, and state to make it easier to assess their devastating impacts on American communities.

In addition to mapping these data on specific grants and real estate leases, CAP is also collecting news clips and stories that illuminate the harms of DOGE across the United States.

The Aspen Policy Academy is offering two free virtual trainings to help advocates sharpen their civic engagement skills: Communicating for Policy on May 12, 2025 and Writing a Public Comment on May 21. Registration required. 

 

πŸ””  NEH Grants Cancelled πŸ”” 

The Arts Newspaper reports that the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) began informing the agency’s grantees that funding was being cancelled immediately so that funds would instead be allocated β€œin a new direction in furtherance of the president’s agenda.”
