Thursday March 18th 1pm EST
March 11, 2021
A year ago the Alliance of Artists Communities (AAC) hosted an emergency summit to address a burgeoning Covid–19 pandemic. As residencies were facing closures, stranded artists and the need to quickly build new ways of operating, we came together to consider a path forward.
Join us next Thursday (3/18) at 1pm EST for “A Year Later: Reflections + Opportunities”, a special field-wide conversation reflecting on a year of unprecedented transition. We have invited leaders across the sector to talk about the decisions and experiences that shaped programs in 2020. What lessons were learned? What new working strategies emerged? How do we map the next steps?
We invite the full staff and boards of AAC members and partner programs to attend!
Guest panelists:
- John Davis, Senior Policy Fellow, Rural Policy Research Institute
- Brandon Gryde, Director of Presenting & Multidisciplinary Works and Artist Communities, National Endowment for the Arts
- Jessica Gaynelle Moss, Administrative Director of Sibyls Shrine and the Founding Director of The Roll Up CLT
- Mary Anne Quiroz, Co-founder and Director, Indigenous Roots
Moderated by Lisa Funderburke Hoffman, Executive Director at the Alliance of Artists Communities.
Registration closes next Wednesday, 3/17 at 5pm EST.
This session will be live-captioned using AI software and ASL interpreted. AAC is committed to providing full access to all. Please send accessibility inquiries and requests by Tuesday 3/16 at 5pm EST to echarlot [at] artistcommunities.org.
