Every year, the Djerassi Resident Artists Program welcomes artists of all disciplines and grants them the gift of time and space: a four-week residency on our 583-acre ranch in Northern California's Santa Cruz Mountains.

LOCATION: 

The program is located 40 miles south of San Francisco in a spectacular rural setting in the Santa Cruz Mountains overlooking the Pacific Ocean, yet is within easy driving distance to the entire San Francisco Bay Area.

ACCOMMODATIONS: 

The program provides living quarters and studio spaces for all residents. There are three visual art studios, a spacious dance studio, a darkroom, and a music composition studio with a baby grand and electric piano available for designated residents.

A chef will prepare communal dinners Monday through Friday. Residents are expected to prepare their own breakfasts, lunches, and weekend dinners using ingredients supplied by the program.
