Soaring Gardens Artist Retreat (Pennsylvania, USA) is accepting applications for residencies running from May through September 2026. This residency welcomes various disciplines, including visual artists in all media, writers, composers, and instrumentalists. Two years of professional experience are required.

The Application deadline is January 9th, 2026. Please go to www.soaringgardens.com for more information and to apply. Applications open November 6th, 2025

Located near Laceyville, PA, one hour’s drive northwest of Scranton in beautiful dairy country, the facilities at Soaring Gardens include a four-bedroom farmhouse and an adjoining studio building with two 720 sq. ft. studios, situated on 23 acres of land. Ten minutes away is our second campus - a renovated church from 1901, which combines studio and living spaces. Residencies are available for three weeks. Applicants from historically marginalized communities are particularly encouraged. With the exception of weekly communal meals, residents purchase their own food and prepare their own meals. Transportation from the Scranton airport and the Scranton and bus stations, as well as weekly shopping trips for those who don’t bring vehicles are available at no cost.
