Collective Micro-Residency for Expanded Photography (Buenos Aires)

The "Collective Micro-Residency for Expanded Photography" is an intensive international program hosted by FotoCreativaBA in downtown Buenos Aires, Argentina. Located within the historic artistic hub of "Galería Patio del Liceo," this short-term residency is designed for photographers, visual artists, researchers, and curators looking for a dynamic, shared environment to expand their creative practices and professionalize their work. Operating across three optional one-week cohorts in August and September 2026, the program is built around collaborative dialogue and collective cross-pollination. The structure includes specialized experimentation workshops, regular artwork clinics, and project mentorship led by curator and visual artist Natheim. It also features guided tours of contemporary art galleries across Buenos Aires and a shared weekly local culture calendar. Residents gain full access to the gallery workspace, digital production tools, and our virtual library. The experience culminates in a collective Open Studio event, showcasing the residents' processes and work-in-progress to the local public. This fee-based, fully bilingual program (Spanish/English) accepts independent applications globally and provides housing placement assistance.
