Grounded Print & Paper Shop is a community printmaking and papermaking studio in Erie, Pennsylvania, dedicated to supporting artists through access, education, and collaboration. Housed in a repurposed industrial building, Grounded brings together a diverse community of printmakers, papermakers, book artists, fiber artists, illustrators, ceramicists, and other creative practitioners who share space, ideas, and resources.

Our studio is equipped for a wide range of traditional and experimental processes, including relief printing, screenprinting, risograph, intaglio, monoprinting, hand papermaking, and bookbinding. Artists in residence have access to professional studio equipment, dedicated workspace, and the freedom to explore new techniques or expand existing bodies of work.

Grounded is more than a production space—it is a place for exchange. Residents become part of an active creative community through open studios, workshops, exhibitions, and informal conversations with fellow artists. Adjacent to the studio is Liminal Space Gallery, where residents have the opportunity to share their work through a culminating exhibition and engage with the broader Erie community.

We welcome emerging and established artists from a wide range of disciplines who are interested in material exploration, community engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Whether your practice centers on printmaking or you are looking to incorporate paper and print into your work for the first time, Grounded offers an environment that encourages experimentation, connection, and meaningful creative growth.
