Founded in 1996, Women Eco Artists Dialog (WEAD) empowers women & gender-diverse people internationally to apply their unique perspectives in the field of ecological art & social-justice art through networking, education, & opportunities, including:

• Online directory of 600+ artists
• Annual online and in-person member exhibitions with a catalog & speaker series, with guest jurors like Beverly Naidus, Maru García, Jane Kim, & Leah Dalton
• Annual online magazine curated to inspire to artists & scientists and be an archive of the field; Susan Leibovitz Steinman, executive editor
• Monthly e-newsletter with featured artists, events, & opportunities; Mary B. White, editor
• Art+ online speaker series of emerging and established artists, critics, educators, & scientists; Deborah Durant, curator
• Two residencies, one in partnership with Berkeley Youth Alternatives & one in partnership with Planting Oceania
• In-person workshops like working with recycled glass, visible mending, & eco-somatic movement
• Film screenings, including Maintenance Artist and Playing with Fire: An Ecosexual Emergency
• Partnership events with organizations like Bioneers, San Francisco Estuary Partnership, & 500 Capp Street
