Art Ambassador Residency

Art Ambassador Residency

Little Rock, AR, United States

The Inaugural Residency will begin March 2027 with a two-month experimental, immersive visual installation residency. The artist will live rent-free in our working, inclusive downtown Little Rock gallery, at 112 W. 6th Street, Little Rock, AR. The resident will be immersed in the creative community we’ve cultivated through the gallery’s own art and music events. A public show of the artist’s work, as well as an optional artist talk, will commence the residency in May. The next residency in May/June will be open to visual artists.

The residency is designed to foster cultural exchange with connection to the thriving local arts ecosystem as well as the city's rich food culture. The Window on Sixth is just steps from the city's major cultural institutions, including the ballet, repertory theatre, symphony, Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, Robinson Auditorium and more.

The artist receives:

  • Free live/workspace (2 months) residing in the loft of the gallery that includes two furnished rooms: a living/workspace and a private bedroom with full bathroom. (value of $3500)
  • The artist has access to the downstairs kitchen and washer/dryer unit, various art supplies and technology
  • Thanks to our relationships with local restaurant and venue owners, we’ll provide some local meal and event vouchers.
  • This is a walkable residency and should not require use of a car, but there is ample metered parking and a designated parking space available for a fee. There is also a public transit (bus) system
