Green Box Artist in Residency Program

At the foot of iconic Pikes Peak, Green Box continues to establish itself as a leading arts incubator in Colorado’s Front Range. Applications will open on September 7 and will be accepted through September 30, 2026. Only complete applications will be considered. There is no application fee.

The Green Box Artist Residency Program offers artists of national and international stature, across diverse disciplines, and at any stage in their career the opportunity to create new works while living in and engaging with the community of Green Mountain Falls.

2026 Residency Opportunities:

• Art Installation Rooms: Green Box seeks proposals from artists to transform an interior space into an immersive installation. Inspired by environments ranging from the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s period rooms to the imaginative worlds of Meow Wolf, the selected work should invite visitors to enter, explore, and engage with a fully realized space.

Deliverables will be mutually agreed upon at the time of awarding residencies. Community engagement proposals are an important part of the application and the residency, reflecting Green Box's commitment to fostering connections between artists and the local community.

Artists should note that a vehicle is necessary for living in Green Mountain Falls; they may choose to rent or bring their own. Private housing will be provided at The Shed, Green Box’s dedicated Artist housing.

Resident artists are provided with stipends starting at $9,000.
