The Current

The Current is a nonprofit center for contemporary art in Stowe, Vermont, connecting people with contemporary artists and ideas through exhibitions, education, artist residencies, and public programs. Serving a rural community while engaging artists from Vermont and beyond, The Current presents free exhibitions and public programs alongside arts education for children, youth, and adults. Through exhibitions, commissions, residencies, workshops, artist talks, and community and school partnerships, The Current creates opportunities for artists and audiences to engage in creativity, critical inquiry, and meaningful dialogue.
