We are stewards of 66-acres in the homeland of the Abenaki people of the Wabanaki Confederacy. We are honored to be guests and caretakers of the field, forest, and streams that run through this sacred land. We offer space for artist and writers to work, live close to nature, and enjoy the time for personal reflection and creative expression away from the distractions of social media and devices.
We offer a private room and space for writing and reflection, with a shared kitchen and bath in the Kindred House. Currently, our indoor work spaces are limited to the private 2 bedroom Kindred Cabin with its own kitchen and bath. While we are in the process of preparing additional work areas we encourage artists who need time to develop their ideas, enjoy working outdoors, and personal reflection, to apply. We also have a Yurt, that sleeps up to four people nestled in the woods, near a seasonal brook as well as three season canvas tents and campsites depending on your level of comfort. Artist/Writers can request 1 to 8 week stays.
Fees: $1,200-$2,250 per week.
*A sliding fee scale is available, preference given to BIPOC artist/writers. Those who have the capacity to pay the full cost will make it possible for us to offer more opportunities to others without sufficient financial resources.
