The Paseo Project Artist in Residence Program
The Paseo Project Artist in Residence Programs bring artists from all over the world to Taos, offering dedicated time and space to pursue their creative work. We offer two distinct residency opportunities: the Paseo @ Hotel Willa Artist in Residence, open to creatives of all media seeking a focused, independent experience, and the Paseo Project AIR Fellowship, which includes a stipend and emphasizes community engagement through a site-specific project. Both programs celebrate the transformative power of art in the unique cultural and natural landscape of Taos.
Paseo Project AIR Fellows
The Paseo Project AIR Fellows program brings artists from all over the world to Taos to work with our community on a public art project. The program is an opportunity for working artists to activate their projects within the community of Taos, while exposing our community to new technologies, processes, and ideas.
Paseo @ Hotel Willa AIR
The Hotel Willa Artist-in-Residence Program, managed by The Paseo Project, invites artists across all disciplines to apply for the 2025 residency in Taos, New Mexico. This self-structured residency offers a unique opportunity to live and create in the vibrant cultural landscape of Taos.

Studio & Facilities
The studio is a private workspace separate from the Artist Suite, located just a short walk away. It measures approximately 15' x 20' and features concrete floors, white walls, and about 20 linear feet of pin boards. The space offers generous natural light from a large north-facing window, along with 24-hour keyed access, high-speed internet, and an attached bathroom. It is equipped with two large work tables on sawhorses, a wood easel, a 4' x 5' cutting mat, two work lamps, a work sink, extension cords, power strips, and storage space. While some leftover materials from past residents are available, artists are strongly encouraged to bring their own supplies, as Taos is a small rural community with limited access to specialty art materials.
