Performing Arts Resource Guide
Artist Communities Alliance (ACA)'s Performing Arts Resource Guide aims to provide a space for artists and practitioners to find information on support for dance and performance in the residency field.
Explore | Opportunities for Artists
Are you a dancemaker, choreographer, musician or artist engaging performance who is interested in attending a residency? There are over 160 residency programs in the U.S. and Canada that are open to dancemakers, and hundreds more around the world. The ACA Directory is a platform to explore opportunities where you can find artist residencies supporting dance and performance through a range of models. While some programs provide dedicated dance and performance studios, other opportunities may still provide the perfect platform to conduct research or planning, connect with new audiences, and/or experiment in unconventional spaces.
Explore tips for how to find, apply for, and fund your residency experience on our Resources for Artists page. Or sign up for our monthly Artist Opportunities Newsletter to receive updates straight to your inbox.
Connect | Find Peers Working in Dance and Performance Residencies
#ResidenciesConnect virtual programming offers connectivity, community and exchange for artist residency staff and people who work in the arts. Through affinity groups, people who power residencies can connect with colleagues with similar models, contexts or program focus. The Dance + Performance Affinity Group is an ongoing meta-network for those working to provide dance and performance residency support.
ACA has also hosted a number of Dance + Performance Tracks as part of our annual convenings.
