PERMANENT CALL - We-Che Nature Art Residency - Patagonia Argentina

Associated Residency Program

Our open call postcard : mountains landscape view from We-Che

We-Che Art Residency is an artist run project, founded by the artistic duo Raom&Loba. In line with our own vision and experience, we humbly wish to offer others what we have received from our peers at different points in our artistic careers: an inspiring place, a warm and quiet workspace, conducive to constructive exchanges with artists from every parts of the world… as a small, human-scale adventure.

We-Che is located on 2ha slice of landscape, crossed by a river, planted of pine and native trees on the 259 Road. close to the historic village of Trevelin founded by Welsh immigrants and 15km from FutaleufĂş and the Chilean border. A natural nest, backing onto a protected natural area of over 40 ha the Nant y Fall river and its waterfalls. In the heart of the 16th of October Valley, its vineyards, its famous and vast 5million tulip field, facing the majestic pre-Andean mountains in the background at just a few kilometers from the southern entrance of Los Alerces National Park.

We-Che, means Young in mapuche, and we encourage artists to connect to Patagonia as a natural historical and cultural environnement. Our proposal is to spend time and space away to retreat, create and rejuvenate, gathering new inspiration, and also participate to a more respectful relationship between Art and Nature.

We welcome all creators and writers if their project fits to We-Che, evaluating if our structure can give all the necessary space and is able to promote the better experience for each one.
