Mothership NYC (est. 2005) is a multidisciplinary artist collective and live-work residency and presentation space in a former pickles factory in Greenpoint, Brooklyn—a proud throwback to New York's avant-garde past and a safe harbor for international creatives. Founded and captained by a painter, Mothership NYC houses a rotating crew of artists across multiple disciplines, including visual art, dance, theater, film, performance, and new media. A self-guided residency, what distinguishes us from insitutional programs is our intimate, homey setting and unique composition: out of a crew of max six residents at any one time, half are NYC-based artists, giving international visitors organic, insider access to the local art scene.

Monthly Mothership Salons are held on the open-air Main Deck or at sister venue Last Frontier NYC: a charismatic warehouse loft inside an industrial complex turned rooftop nature sanctuary. With access to several one-of-a-kind showcases, our events bring together local and international artists, thinkers, and arts professionals & appreciators for informal gatherings that spark new ideas and lasting collaborations. We are serious about creating our own fun!
