Harkat Residency
Harkat offers self-organised residencies, ranging from a monthly to tri-monthly basis. Residencies are open to performance artists (theatre, music, dance,..), visual artists, digital artists, filmmakers, researchers who wish to use the darkroom and artist lab setup or the black box as a temporary working environment. Residents get to determine the structure of the residency, their creative intentions and workflow. The residency supports interaction with local artists, thinkers and makers; a deep understanding and experience of Indian urban culture, an overall opportunity to connect with and draw inspiration from homegrown communities. Harkat sees the residency as more than a service– a shared responsibility between the place and its temporary inhabitants.
The Harkat residency welcomes especially artists who don’t want to be confined to one artform, who want to expand their practice and who are looking to collaborate with local artists.
