#ResidenciesConnect: Partnerships that Extend Impact

Event Date and Time
October 1, 2026 2:00pm - 3:15pm ET

Virtual Event

How can artist residencies expand their reach, deepen their impact, and open new possibilities—without expanding their budgets? In this virtual session, hear from Vermont Studio Center, SFAI, and Hyde Park Art Center about the partnerships that strengthened individual artists’ careers and stretched what a residency can make possible.

Explore how residencies are forging local, regional, and international collaborations to connect with new audiences, networks, and potential sources of support. Three residency leaders discuss the specific strategies behind their successful partnerships, including how they are structured, what to prioritize, and the approaches that have expanded their impact.

Speakers:

  • Sarah Audsley | Writing Program Director, Vermont Studio Center (Johnson, VT)
  • Toccarra Thomas | Executive Director, Santa Fe Art Institute (Santa Fe, NM)
  • Mariela Acuna | Director of Exhibitions and Residency, Hyde Park Art Center (Chicago, IL)
