Inner Vision, Photography and Mixed Arts

Associated Residency Program

The place of action is the Small Cyclades in the Schinoussa, Iraklia, Kato Koufonisi, Keros and South Naxos islands. The place of the classroom and rest is Schinoussa.

Participants are those interested in art & photography, regardless of previous knowledge.

The theme research is based on photography an image that reflects our inner vision but also reflects other forms of art expression.

Every new place is a search into the unknown. The small Cyclades is the heart of the Aegean Sea, rising as a new horizon before our imagination. Using our qualities to open ourselves to the sense of seeing, we will approach the beauty of reality as it is.

The main content is daily peripatetic. We will visit each place to share our presence, perception and research skills. Daily part of the content is also meditation, breathing sessions and other techniques to cultivate inner presence.

Generally, the logic of the seminar is based on the study of each day's image and the other hand on the natural development of a critical eye. Everyone submits their art attempts to everyone's gaze but simultaneously exercisesobjectivity by watching the work of others.

The seminar has two parts: The daily tour and the daily selection of images. The continuous practice, without distractions, as well as the daily selection of images, achieves the combination of practice and theory, giving at the same time a taste of the continuous flow of artistic practice in our lives. Searching and approaching different topics sharpens the critical eye and leads to deeper analyses and discussions.

The seminar results will be prepared for display on the last day and will be ready for publication by the photographers for their personal development.
