Open Call Artists Residence "Spring in Greek Nature, Toxotes 2024"

Associated Residency Program

Artists, architects, writers, art historians, publishers, musicians and other creative professionals,
from all over the world, regardless of race, gender, age and orientation, with open arms, ideas and opinions, can stay and work with temporary participation in programs. From 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months. The residences offer conditions that favor creativity and offer their guests a welcoming atmosphere
environment.

The building is a two-story renovated house of 160 square meters on a plot of 250 square meters. It offers private space, in a 35 square meter studio with a double king size bed, desk, free wi-fi, comfortable sofa-bed, equipped kitchen, private bathroom, balcony, outdoor furniture and modern design.

Θα εκτεθούν έργα που δημιουργήθηκαν κατά την περίοδο φιλοξενίας ή έργα που έχουν μαζί τους.

Additional Eligibility Information

Artists, architects, writers, art historians, directors, actors, publishers, musicians, and other creative professionals from around the world are invited to participate. The call is open to individuals of any race, gender, age, or orientation, encouraging diverse ideas and perspectives. 
The residency welcomes those with open minds and opinions to stay and engage in temporary programs. The program spans from 3 to 6 weeks, accommodating 5 to 10 artists at a time.

Situated in northern Greece, in the village of Toxotes, at the foothills of the Rhodope mountain range and beside the Nestos River. The location offers a serene setting amidst olive groves, poplars, pines, wild figs, and wild roses, just 12 kilometers from Xanthi and 30 kilometers from Kavala.

The artistic residences, known as "Kokkymelon," offer conducive conditions for creativity in a tranquil, green courtyard spanning 4 acres. The two-story renovated house provides five private rooms equipped with double beds or twin beds, private bathrooms, a fully equipped communal kitchen, and a shared living space with comfortable sofas. Outdoor amenities include dining areas and lounges. Bicycles are available for village exploration, shopping, or river walks. The program supports artists' comfort with two times per week cleaning, laundry facilities, and opportunities to arrange meals, fostering collaboration and cultural exploration among residents. If you wish there is an opportunity, after comunication with the program leader, to have pre-order meals of Greek mediterenean cuisine from the guesthouse with an extra small charge.
