Summer 2026 Individual Residency

Associated Residency Program

Individual Cottage Residency  (May 1st - September 29th)

Individual cottage residencies offer artists live/work space within the larger creative community of the Byrdcliffe Summer Program. Community and connection are core principals of a Byrdcliffe summer and artists from all backgrounds and all stages of their career are invited to apply.

Every summer, Byrdcliffe provides over 60 visual, literary, and performing artists of exceptional talent uninterrupted creative time within the serene natural setting of the historic arts colony. While Individual cottage residencies are more autonomous by nature, artists-in-residence are invited to participate in all programming opportunities offered during the summer. Additionally, participants will be able to exhibit work the following year as part of Byrdcliffe’s annual Artist-in-Residence showcase.
