The Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) application portal is currently open and accepting applications for the $16 billion funding pool.
Grants are available for live performance venues, agents, and cultural institutions. Eligible applicants may qualify for grants equal to 45% of their gross earned revenue, with the maximum amount available for a single grant award of $10 million.
The application and all information is posted on the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant web portal.
There is not a set deadline and applicants may submit applications at any time, but organizations who have suffered the greatest economic loss will be processed first. The SBA released a timeline explaining how applications will be prioritized and announced that awards for the first priority period are expected to begin in mid-May.
To assist organizations in preparing their SVOG application, the SBA has posted a video tutorial and updated the Frequently Asked Questions and eligibility requirements. You can find a helpful overview on the League of American Orchestra's website.
