Established by the Rhode Island Foundation in 2003, The Robert and Margaret MacColl Johnson Fellowship Fund provides up to three $30,000 artist fellowships each year.
Artist Communities Alliance (ACA) leads the selection process for these fellowships.
All emerging and mid-career Rhode Island based Visual Artists are invited to apply for the The Robert and Margaret MacColl Johnson Fellowship Fund. The 2024 Fellowship was awarded to three Writers, the 2026 award will be awarded to composers.
This year, Fellowships will be awarded to Visual Artists in Rhode Island.
- Three MacColl Johnson Fellowship Awardees will receive $30,000 each
- Three MacColl Johnson Fellowship Finalists will $3,000 stipend and a two to four-week in-person artist residency experience
