Associated Residency Program

The ACC CREATORS Residency aims to establish a sustainable creative production platform through the convergence of art and technology. The program provides opportunities for “CREATORS”—including artists, researchers, designers, architects, and engineers—to engage in research, development, production, and exhibition of their multidisciplinary projects.

As a sustainable platform for experimental projects at the intersection of art and technology, the ACC CREATORS Residency marks its 11th edition this year, building on its ongoing commitment to cross-disciplinary collaboration and experimental artistic production.

The theme of this edition, Speculative Communities, examines designed and technologically mediated forms of community, addressing their potential and limitations in current and speculative social conditions.

Under this theme, the ACC CREATORS 2026 Residency Open Call invites projects that engage with whether communities can continue to exist under such conditions, how they might take new shapes, and whether algorithms, non-human agents, and data can become integral participants in communal life.

Categories : Art & Technology

  • New projects utilizing technologies such as AI, VR, MR, XR, robotics, IoT, motion capture, gaming, laser, kinetic media, audiovisual, sound, video, immersive and spatial audio, and more — based on the theme.

 

Number of Participants

  • Art & Technology — 6 teams
  • Audiovisual — 1 team
  • Immersive Sound — 1 team
  • A total of 8 teams (or individuals) will be selected.
  • Teams may consist of up to two members.

 

Residency Period & Outcomes

  • Residency period: June 27 – November 30, 2026
  • Program period: July – November 2026
  • Exhibition: November 20–29, 2026

 

Eligibility

The open call is open to artists, creators, researchers, engineers, and interdisciplinary practitioners working in fields such as art, media, design, architecture, engineering, and related disciplines, who are capable of developing and presenting experimental projects aligned with the theme.

  • Application period: February 13 – March 1, 2026 (23:59 KST)
  • Application method: Online submission via the ACC website
  • Applicants must submit:
    • Project proposal (designated format)
    • CV and portfolio (free format, PDF)
