Accessibility
The Main House, built in 1997 was one of the first examples of universal design, and is fully ADA-compliant; however, we are renovating to update to existing guidelines. Main House includes two bedroom suites (accessible bathrooms, one caregiver separate bedroom in one suite), private studios, shared living/kitchen/dining and B&W darkroom.
The Barn, built in 1926, is not ADA-accessible although we are renovating to update first floor to existing guidelines. There is no access to the second floor at this time.
The residency experience can be fully participated in by artists with limited mobility.
The second floor of Barn is not accessibly. We house all participants who require physical ADA-accommodation in the Main House.
Housing & Accomodation
Residency includes access to B&W darkroom, ADA-accessible living/dining/kitchen, private bedroom/bathroom suites including the composer's studio with Yamaha U-1 piano, shared workstation with printer, Nancy Graves Memorial Library and Alumni Collection.
The Main House's Speinson Suite contains two bedrooms, one studio and an accessible bathroom.
