Sculpture Space seeks to build appreciation for the role of contemporary art and artists in society through residencies and other programs for outstanding sculptors that foster creative exploration, community collaboration, public engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Because sculpture has the power to positively transform society, we support sculptors and nurture public  discourse about important art issues. We posit that a robust sculpture realm yields greater public well- being.The studio is located in Utica New York (12 Gates St), close to downtown, in proximity to light industry and various fabrication shops. The collaborative environment of the studio and the communal aspects of the residence help foster dialogue, exchange of ideas, creative experimentation and both personal and professional connections. The 5,500 square foot facility consists of 3,800 square feet of open studio space and six enclosed semi-private studios. The studio is outfitted with concrete floors, a two ton system of traveling hoists, and extra wide overhead doors. Both studio and house provide wireless access and artists may borrow available digital equipment. The 3⁄4 acres of land surrounding the building can supplement indoor studio space during certain times of the year. An  outdoor work pad is equipped with a 50' monorail hoist. Cow House Studios artist residencies have provided studio space for professional visual artists working in any discipline. These residencies offer a valuable platform for emerging, mid-career, and established artists. Furthermore, our residency program brings critically engaging contemporary artwork to our rural locality, expands our community, and informs our educational programming. We are committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for artists to explore and challenge new ideas, facilitating individual research and interdisciplinary exchange.

Artists share our large, adaptable studio allowing them to become acquainted with and challenged by one another's work. Additionally, artists are provided with comfortable private accommodation where participants regularly enjoy great meals and conversation. Over the years, we have changed and expanded our offerings to include residences designed for artists at all levels, educators, and curators. Our regular programming now comprises three main programs. These are our Open Residency Programme, our Parenting Artist Residency (PAR), and our annually themed curated residency.

In addition to our recurring residencies, we continue to develop new programming in collaboration with key national and international organizations and artists working independently in Ireland and abroad. These partnerships offer unique opportunities for the exhibition and publication of new works and professional development through facilitated

Sunny Savannah ON::View Artist Residency - fully funded - January - May 2025

ARTS Southeast is excited to invite you to apply to the ON::View Artist Residency! Located in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District at Sulfur Studios, the ON::VIEW Artist Residency provides a free, high visibility studio space for an artist to complete a new project, to continue an in-progress endeavor, or to conduct research exploring conceptual, material, performative, and social practices. The studio’s large windows look out onto Bull Street, the district’s main thoroughfare, allowing the artists’ work to be on view to the community at all times. Sulfur Studios’ visitors and passersby on the sidewalk witness the artists’ process as it unfolds in real time, seeing all the steps involved from concept to final execution. Community events like workshops, performances, public art projects and artist talks, offer creative ways to interact with the public. The ON::View Residency supports artists from across the globe, working in all media.

Just five blocks east of the Residency Studio, the 5th Dimension Apartment features a full kitchen, bath and main room to comfortably house the Artist (+1 guest if requested) for month-long Residency stays. The 5th Dimension Apartment has a private gated entrance and private garden with plenty of space to create, lounge and entertain.

The Anderson Center’s signature artist residency program is open to emerging, mid-career, and established visual artists, writers, composers, choreographers, multidisciplinary artists, musicians, performance artists, scholars, translators and more based anywhere in the world. The program aims to meet the needs of artists while welcoming them into a supportive and inspiring residency environment that allows them to minimize distractions, focus in on creative work, and develop a strong sense of community and place while engaging in creative production.

Each resident is provided room, board, and workspace in the historic Tower View residence. Other workspaces on-site include visual arts studios, a writing studio atop a 100’ water tower, an open-air metalsmith facility, a dark room, and a print studio. Artists are provided with chef-prepared communal dinners and groceries, as well access to the historic campus and beautiful natural areas surrounding it.

The Artist Residency Program is an ideal fit for artists whose work reveals a significant potential for cultural and community impact, is technically accomplished, and engages diverse communities. The organization believes that the environment and resources of Tower View, along with an exchange of ideas between artists working across disciplines, can serve as a catalyst for new inspiration and innovative directions for the work artists create while in residence.

Located in the heart of historic New Orleans, The New Quorum Artist Residency program provides emerging and established musicians, composers and writers with a focused period of time to pursue artistic development, exchange ideas, and engage with the larger New Orleans arts community. Residents can expand their artistic potential through interaction with peer artists in an atmosphere that encourages new work free from the restrictions of the marketplace and academia.

Our Artist Residency program is designed to immerse talented professional musicians and writers from across the world in the culture of New Orleans, providing these artists with life-changing experiences and converting them into global ambassadors for New Orleans music and culture. The New Quorum seeks to distinguish itself from other local and national artist residency organizations with a special emphasis on bringing accomplished international artists to New Orleans, facilitating cultural exchange between visiting artists and those who live and work in New Orleans, and by shaping all its activities for maximum benefit to local musicians, writers, and the community at large.

Weir Farm’s Artist-in-Residence (AIR) Program is envisioned to be an outstanding National Park Service residency program that reflects the values and character of Weir Farm National Historical Park (NHP) by continuing the creative conversations started by the Weir Family through the work of contemporary artists. Weir Farm’s AIR Program fosters contemporary artistic expression on site and prioritizes experimental and thought-provoking approaches to examining and interpreting our world through the medium of contemporary visual art practice. The AIR Program keeps Weir’s experimental tendencies alive allowing the Park to share new ideas broadly with ever more diverse artists, communities, and visitors.

The program is broadly inclusive of all people with a special focus on new and underrepresented voices, while maintaining high standards of artistic practice throughout the program. This reflects society’s shift from the exclusivity of Weir’s time to reflect the values of our society today and of the National Park Service as an organization that is open to all. Weir Farm NHP places a high value on diversity of experience and cultural perspectives and encourages applications from all interested eligible candidates. Diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) are fundamental principles that guide the Park and allow us to successfully achieve our mission.
