La Maldita Estampa Barcelona Printmaking Residency

Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain

The Print Studio & Gallery, La Maldita Estampa is a space for production, research, training and dissemination of contemporary graphics; it is self-managed by artists, created with the aim of supporting other artists. Because they know the importance of educating about graphics and its creative processes, the need to create alternative production spaces; our aim is that graphics reaches a greater number of people, and is given the importance that other artistic disciplines have.

They create the right conditions to receive national and international artists in Barcelona, with our Artistic Residencies programme; in this way they encourage cultural tourism, which invites the visiting artist to enter and interact with local art and culture. They know that in these spaces links, exchanges, and points of a union are established that enrich the creative work in the community. The gallery is a space open to receive new ideas, and fresh and innovative exhibition projects. They work with national and international artists, and support young and emerging artists. They hold monthly exhibitions, each of which brings its own character and identity; in this way they make the space more dynamic by welcoming visitors, opening a dialogue between the artist and the public.
