Created in 2019, El Boga’s mission is to develop cultural, academic, and artistic activities that strengthen the intangible heritage of the World Heritage site of Mompox, add value, and foster dialogue between the local community and visitors. 

We have: 

• Received over 100 artists in residence ; 
• Hosted over 1000 free workshops in disciplines ranging from gastronomy to theater.
• Developed strategic partnerships with local schools, local craftspeople, the Secretary of Tourism and Culture of Mompox, cultural institutes, arts schools, universities and art galleries. 

Our community-oriented artistic residencies prioritize the preservation of Mompox’s local talent, fostering interventions that gain recognition and generate revenue for its creators. 

• Musical Collaborations: Italian musicians and songwriter Gregorio Uribe partnered with local groups to produce new compositions and videos.
• Visual Arts: Artist Fredy Clavijo worked with blacksmiths, ceramists, and songwriters to create unique sculptures.
• Ongoing Innovation: Designer Milena Denis Polania developedg fiber-based objects with local artisans

The Water & Rock artist residency invites creatives and writers in the traditional and picturesque village of Kazaviti on the island of Thassos in Greece. The village is nestled in the mountains, surrounded by forest and natural springs, bursting with history.

Nature is at the center of everything we do at Water & Rock, we want to bring awareness to the beauty and importance of the fauna and flora of the island in an aim to build a greater sense of interdependence, for now and for future generations, human and non-human. 

We invite you to spend some time here and soak up the beauty and energy the landscape has to offer. There is no doubt that the scenery, wildlife and history will inspire you to create something beautiful. The island will be generous to you, and your gift back to her will be your creativity which in turn will inspire others to look at nature differently and cherish the richness, beauty and life that it brings.

Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft is a nationally recognized nonprofit arts center located in Columbia, North Carolina. Founded in 1994, Pocosin Arts provides year-round craft education through on-campus and online workshops, artist residencies, exhibitions, and community programs in ceramics, metals and jewelry, woodworking, mixed media, and more. Situated on the banks of the Scuppernong River near the Outer Banks, Pocosin Arts welcomes artists of all experience levels and fosters creativity, connection, and lifelong learning through the arts.

The Museum of Loss and Renewal is an art project that stimulates people to take time in which to generate and share thoughts, feelings and ideas. This happens through its residency programmes, creative retreats and publishing activities.

The Individual Residency Programmes, Group Residency Programmes and Creative Retreats take place in Italy and in Scotland's Orkney Islands, providing space and contexts for making and sharing. 

It is nurtured by artist, curator, educator and publisher Tracy Mackenna, with Associates Steve Dutton (art, curating, academia), Antonio Forte (art, composition, music), Maree Hensey (drawing, collaboration, facilitation), Esméemilja Mackenna (art, ecology, disability, accessibilty), Fernanda Aránguiz M. (art, curating, publishing), and Hilary Nicoll (archives, collections, object-memory).
 

bEam arts is an initiative based in Thessaloniki, Greece, dedicated to supporting artists across all artistic practises -visual arts, performance, architecture, design, film, literature, and curatorial practices- through different programs, including residencies, exhibitions, research initiatives, and community-focused events. The international artist residency is one of our core programs, offering selected artists access to well-equipped facilities, individual studios, mentorship, a group exhibition and a growing peer community.

O Castro Art Village is a rural creative residency space made for those who seek their own bubble while having good company.

We offer self-paid or (at times) sponsored creative residencies in rural Galicia. 

You stay in geodesic domes, and work in a studio with panoramic views of Ribeira Sacra.

We welcome creatives seeking time, space, and good company to work deeply. 

Tucked in an oak forest you will find comfortable modern accommodation and share studio spaces, where you can stay and disconnect, or work on your next project. 

You stay in a comfortable, well-insulated geodesic dome, tucked into an oak forest. In summer, it stays naturally cool. In winter, it’s warm, quiet, and deeply cozy. You fall asleep to owls calling in the distance. You wake up to birdsong and soft morning light through the trees.

A short walk from your dome, you’ll find the studio loft; a shared workspace perched above the landscape, with wide views over the Miño River valley and surrounding vineyards. This is where you work alongside other residents and coworkers, each focused on their own projects, yet close enough for ideas to cross paths. 

The studio includes: super fast wifi, a screen and projector for presentations and films, individual workstations, studio table for collaborative work, lounge seating for reading, thinking, or stepping away from your screen. During the day, it’s a place for deep focus. In the evenings, it often shifts tone, becoming a cozy space for film screenings, makers’ events, skill-sharing workshops, or informal talks. 

The kitchen is where work loosens its grip. It’s fully equipped with everything you need to cook comfortably; whether you’re preparing something on your own or teaming up with others. Meals are cooked individually or in small groups, depending on the day and the mood. When schedules align, we often share one meal a day. This is the social heart of O Castro: relaxed, homely, and always open.
