Artists of all disciplines are invited to apply for an art residency at Green Olive Arts, an international art studio in beautiful Tetouan, Morocco. Between grand views of the Rif Mountains and the busy labyrinth of the ancient Arab walled medina, the visual inspiration and warm hospitality are sure to inspire. Shared (2-3 artists) and private studios are available, along with weekly artist lunch gatherings and connections to a local network of artists and traditional artisans. Enjoy a balance of focused production and research along with creative community and cultural immersion to stir your work to new levels. 

3 or 6 week artist-funded residencies are available. Applications for our residency seasons are being taken on an open basis for the available 8 studio spaces. Completed and approved applications (including a video interview) will be assessed by our Local Selection Panel before a final decision is made. Travel, housing, meals, and supplies are not included in the residency fee.

In the heart of Door County, on Wisconsin's northeast peninsula, nestled between the waters of Green Bay and Lake Michigan, writers can find the peace and solitude to focus on their craft. Write On offers a space of inspiration and reflection on 59 acres of meadows, orchards, and woods.

We invite application from writers in any genre, regardless of publication history. We also welcome literary arts administrators who need time to focus on upcoming projects. Writers traveling with children or other family members are welcome to apply.

Write On is a small residency program, typically housing one to three writers at a time. We encourage collaborative residencies, though each writer must submit an individual application. There are two spacious bedrooms with a shared bath on the second floor. The first floor contains a one-bedroom suite with full bath as well as shared eat-in kitchen and living room.

Additional creative space can be found in The Coop, located in the residency meadow, and in the writing center, located across the street.

Follow in the footsteps of artists and writers who have found the benefit of a nature immersion for your residency in this rural homestead, artist-founded / artist-led, where you can spend time with 15 mostly miniature / small standard joyful, loving donkeys and also the chickens, peacocks, cats, and a couple of fluffy farm dogs.

Venture to this magical landscape - the rolling foothills of Appalachia - where you can let your creativity FLOW like the BUFFALO river (on the edge of this 17 acre camp retreat). 

If nature is your muse, friend, or collaborator, you’ll find this residency experience to be productive and memorable.

This giant art evolving organism was founded by a former Graphic Design Professor who is a working artist/arts entrepreneur.

An ACE Fellowship in Dance provides immersive creative time and space to selected artists, free of charge.

Available to established Chicago area choreographers and dancemakers, awardees receive the rare opportunity of uninterrupted time and space to create their next great work, along a variety of supportive financial benefits. The length of the residency is one to two weeks, and the choreographer can be joined by 3-5 dancers/collaborators. There is no expectation of producing any specific work or material. However, during the ACE Fellowship, artists are invited to engage with the regional community in a variety of ways. During the residency, there may be a Meet the Artists event, or other opportunities for the Chicago-based artists to interact and exchange time and talent with members of the local arts community. Trillium Arts acts as a facilitator for this “Exchange” portion of ACE, providing suggestions for pairings and introductions as necessary. Beyond any selected engagements, this is a self-directed program, and the artists determine the specific ways to use their residency time.

Trillium Arts envisions an artist residency center where artists of many disciplines can find a creative home away from home, offering secluded space for rejuvenation in a beautiful, remote setting in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our current facilities are best suited to the disciplines of literary arts, photography, visual arts and arts administration.

Purpose: The “Miss Sarah” Fellowship for Black Women Writers aims to provide Black women writers a restful environment conducive to reflection and writing. It also offers uninterrupted time to plant the seed of an idea for a new writing project or to develop or complete a project underway. 

Designed for artists of all career stages, the Artists-in-Residence Program is an immersive studio experience awarded to six individuals each year. The program prioritizes time and space for residents to engage fully in their creative practice, experiment, and pursue new projects and ideas. In an environment that encourages contemplation, experimentation, and exchange, this program is invested in new modes of thinking and working in the field of visual art.

PenArt believes in the value of time and space. All residencies are provided free of charge.

Storyknife offers writing residencies for two and four week periods. Each accepted woman writer will have her own cabin where she can write and reflect, sleep and dream. Storyknife's onsite chef will provide all meals. Breakfast is prepared by the writers from ingredients in the main house’s kitchen. Our chef manager will bring a nutritious lunch to each cabin, and in the evening, the writers will gather at the main house for a shared meal. Each woman will establish her own writing schedule and projects, and together, they will be able to form the kind of supportive writing friendships that last a lifetime.

The Hambidge Creative Residency Program nurtures exceptional creative talents within the arts and sciences at their 600-acre creative sanctuary in the Blue Ridge Mountains, providing the space and time needed for visionary works to be conceived and developed. A spectrum of artistic disciplines is accepted – Arts & Culture Administration, Ceramics, Culinary, Dance, Music, Science, Visual Arts, Writing – as well as multidisciplinary and collaborative proposals. Nine individuals from around the globe are in residence at any given time – each has private accommodations and studio space, and shares communal dinners prepared by the Hambidge chef. ADA compliant studios are available and Hambidge is family friendly.
