You'll experience a formal guided Forest Therapy Walk on Sunday as a deeper introduction to the land and as a creative mindfulness exercise. We'll enjoy the May full moon - Flower Moon - May 23. " Let us live like flowers, wild and beautiful and drenched in sun."
- Ellen Everett

The weather in May is particularly lovely and after Feb-April rains, the flowers and trees, grass, etc. are in full bloom and colorful glory. It's a spectacular time to use the outdoor space to your advantage. Check out the website for many more photos. The founder/director spent a good amount of time in 2023 expanding the flower gardens so it will be exciting to see what pops up. You can be guaranteed to see a lot of variations of green and many vibrant pops.

Your time is your own during this stay, but plan for social opportunities and cross-over conversations. Choose your preferred room and you'll have access to communal spaces, a designated kitchen in that particular house for all of your self-made meals, access to the 17 acres including spending time with the donkeys or lounging in or around the lazy Buffalo River at our private access area.

Applications will be reviewed when submitted. Program will run with a minimum of 3 participants. Applications will be reviewed until spots are filled. Every effort will be made to select a variety of people with different mediums, backgrounds, and interests with a common thread of your connection to nature.

Additional Eligibility Information

Let your creativity FLOW LIKE THE BUFFALO river on the edge of our acreage. Applicants with nature as their muse, inspiration, or collaborator will receive priority.

This residency is scheduled during the Flower Moon. Please explain how nature, color, moon, or other aspects of the place fit within your residency goals.

Individuals must be able to let the normal world and lifestyle go during your stay and it is encouraged that you utilize the time and access to the benefits of being away from contemporary society. If you cannot go a day without your favorite coffee shop visit, have fast food on the brain, or need lots of people around to function, this is not the place for you.

Be prepared for a different sense of time here and your project goals may actually go faster because you don't have your normal life distractions. You must agree to all of the policies which include contributing to the facility and land in some capacity as well as general, regular cleaning like washing dishes daily and other daily chores that as a creative philosophy allow your mind to wander and your inner gut to rejuvenate.

This is a group residency experience where everyone will have their own private bedroom (or select the double option as a private room or a creative friend/partner). Each participant should be okay with a group experience in shared spaces. There will be daily basic housekeeping in the shared bathrooms and communal spaces. You'll need to wash your own dishes or ask for that add-on option.
