Created to serve artists living in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area, the Inside/Outside Fellowship program is an opportunity for deep immersion in both studio practice and community engagement: Fellows explore materials and ideas to advance their creative practices while developing community art projects that contribute positively to this place we call home.

As a program of MASS MoCA, Assets for Artists was founded on the belief that artists are key contributors to vibrant communities and thriving economies. Through our residency program, The Studios at MASS MoCA, we give visiting artists from around the world the time and space for their own creative development, be it in project execution, reflection, or to simply try something new. Through our workshops and capacity-building grants, we support artists in advancing the business and financial goals

The Steel Yard’s historic campus is a platform for professional artists, makers, and the community to practice and learn the industrial arts. The organization fosters creative and economic opportunities, by providing workspace, tools, training, and education while forging lasting links to a local tradition of craftsmanship.

Founded by American artist and philanthropist Jerome Hill (1905-1972), the Camargo Foundation fosters creativity, research, and experimentation through its international residency program for artists, scholars, and thinkers. Since 1971 Camargo has hosted nearly 1,500 individuals working in the arts and humanities from all over the world. Located in Cassis, France, on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, the Foundation offers time and space in a contemplative and supportive environment.

Stelo illuminates the power of art to invite conversation and build community. We are dedicated to responsive models of support via partnerships, collaboration, and exchange.

Skowhegan is located on a 350-acre campus in central Maine. The nine-week summer program provides 65 emerging artists and 11 faculty artists with a collaborative and rigorous environment that is shaped by risk-taking, mentorship, and peer-to-peer exchange. Skowhegan does not consider financial ability or circumstances in its admissions process and, instead, focuses on an individual’s commitment to artmaking and inquiry. Founded by artists, for artists, the program provides an atmosphere in which participants are encouraged to work in contrast to market or academic expectations.

Through workshops, residencies, events and a youth arts program the Sitka Center provides time and space for for place-based reflection, inquiry and creation at the intersection of art and ecology.

Sitka Center is located on the Oregon coast and adjacent to the Cascade Head Scenic Research Area, and the Salmon River Estuary. Sitka actively collaborates with the First Peoples of this land who today are represented by the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians and the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde. 

Based in Denver, CO, PlatteForum’s Artist Residency is a competitive, international program that provides artists the time, studio space and support to create new work and dive into social justice topics. Resident artists lead workshops with PlatteForum’s ArtLab high school interns culminating in exhibitions and/or performances in our gallery. PlatteForum supports artists who reflect the community of interns we serve, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and artists living with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
